OpenSpace

Luke joined OpenSpace in September 2015 as the Contracts Project Manager, having previously worked as a project manager at a non-profit NGO in Cumbria. Coming from a background in outdoor education and activities, he has always had a passion for working outdoors and improving the natural environment.
Combining practical conservation work with managing projects across various sectors is an ideal role for Luke, and he has found expanding his knowledge of peatland restoration a particularly rewarding challenge. Luke takes great pride in overseeing a great team, who collectively share an enormous amount of knowledge about conservation work, ensuring that OpenSpace continues to go from strength to strength.
Having moved from south England to Cumbria in 2004, he can’t imagine living elsewhere. In his free time, Luke enjoys travelling to visit friends and family, walking in the Lakes, cycling and canoeing with his young family (beautiful twin girls) and Labrador, Benny. And if there happens to be a pub-stop along the route, so much the better.
