Ecology in Planning & Development

A large part of our work is to provide ecological services to gain planning consent. Much of our experience is gained from work in areas with strict planning regulations, such as National Parks, and we have a comprehensive knowledge of the planning system and the level of assessment needed to satisfy even the most stringent of planning processes.

Wildlife legislation, statutory consultation and mitigation licensing relate closely to planning policy and we provide the expert services needed to ensure the best solutions and outcome for your projects.

In accordance with local, regional and national policy, all Planning Authorities will require certain information and survey work. Failure to submit this and consider wildlife and ecology issues can lead to delays, negative perception and additional costs.

We work closely with our clients to ensure that projects meet with planning requirements in a cost effective manner. If we are involved in the early stages we can help you establish low impact sites with fewer ecological costs, allow for survey work without disrupting timescales and provide you with advice on the assessments you need to submit at pre-planning and for determination.
