Otter Holt Creation

We have a team of specialists trained and qualified to construct a man made Otter Holt, which is effectively a home come play area designed for an otter family.

We construct from a fully sustainable source, and use natural materials wherever possible.  Some otter holts are single chamber, and some are dual chamber, and are in the form of large log pile tubes, with various points of entry/exit to provide variety for the otters. They are built on, around or very near water courses like rivers, streams, lakes or lochs.

There have been a number of success stories when it comes to otter holts, with reports of slight increases in otter numbers. Otters generally are very sociable creatures, so it is in everyone’s interest to keep couples together and as far away from danger as possible.
