Hedgerow

Hedges play a vital role in our ecosystem here in the UK. From wild raspberry canes to wild blackberry bushes, from hawthorn bushes to the traditional UK Hedgerows we see in our countryside, we cannot under-estimate the positive impact our hedges have on plant life and wildlife alike. Birds also use hedges as nesting locations due to the difficulty predators have in accessing such nests aided by hedge thorns.

OpenSpace offer Hedgerow Management or Hedgerow Restoration (ie. planting) works in addition to Surveys relating to Hedgerow Regulations. Furthermore we can provide an Advisory Service. Our ecological background enables us to recommend plant species and hedge management that will thrive in the site habitat and encourage wildlife.
