Countryside Stewardship Projects

The Countryside Stewardship (CS) scheme has been introduced, replacing Entry- and Higher-Level Stewardship schemes. OpenSpace has vast experience in delivering Higher Level Stewardship projects for a number of farms and  landowners. The CS scheme is available for land managers to conserve their environment through activities such as:

• Conserving and restoring wildlife habitats
• Flood risk management
• Woodland creation and management
• Reducing widespread water pollution from agriculture
• Keeping the character of the countryside
• Preserving features important to the history of the rural landscape
• Encouraging educational access
